Artist Bio

Caylin Schwartz, is a graduate of SUNY at Purchase College with a BFA in printmaking. Based in Western New York, he works in a wide variety of printmaking forms: intaglio, wood-block, and screenprint. As well as other forms of image-making, including alternative types of photography, such as cyanotypes and anthotypes. His work continually explores many themes, most notably the aesthetic beauty and ecological importance of creatures not always considered as such–reptiles, amphibians, insects, and other living creatures. He believes art can extend an empathy for various species that are too often maligned in our culture.
